BP 4 Flickr

My web2.o tool that I will be sharing with you is flickr.  This site lets you upload photos and videos.  I chose flickr.com because not only do I teach, but also take a lot of photos at my school for sports and the yearbook.  You can sign up for an account or use your google or Facebook login to access flickr.  In the image below I have done that and have picked my first photos for the school year.
I like current events and with all the rain we had leading up to the school year, look at what had to encounter on the third day back.
I think our school will remember Hurricane Irene and the remnants of Hurricane Lee.  This is unique to our school as the entire ground floor of the school was flooded out completely in 1999 during Hurricane Floyd.  We are all dry now as this time it was a couple of blocked drains.
If you are a person that likes to take pictures and doesn't have a lot of space this is the site for you. It also allows you to organize your photos through photo stream.
Think about how easy it would be for your yearbook club to capture your school's year in one spot.  Students would be able to log into an account you have set up, edit and publish their photos.  You could also have your staff and parents monitor the site to make sure everyone gets in the yearbook.  If someone complains you can ask them, "did you check the flickr?
